Cristen Bertelson, Director
National Account Manager, Shamrock Foods

Originally from Michigan, Cristen moved to Colorado at 12 years old and loves the blue skies, the open spaces and the lack of humidity. She has managed collegiate and club cycling teams and loves to ride her cruiser around town. When not outdoors or in her community garden, she works as a National Account Rep at a food distributor.

Student, Colorado School of Mines

Marcello is a Colorado Native, a graduate of Trips for Kids Earn-a-Bike program, Lucky Bikes Youth-at-Work program, and currently a Freshman at Colorado School of Mines.  He is excited to bring to the board his program perspective, love of cycling and on the move to be part ofbuilding a stronger Denver community.



Tony Giarratano, Treasurer
Senior Vice-President, FirstBank

Tony is a Colorado native with a love for the outdoors. He loves to ride and prefers mountain biking over road biking. He also loves to fly-fish, ski, and hike. Tony has been with FirstBank since 2007 as a loan officer specializing in residential mortgages, construction loans and commercial loans. Tony and his wife have three young boys and they love spending their time outside trying to tire out the boys.

Founder, Trips for Kids Denver Metro

Andrew founded Trips for Kids Denver Metro in 2004 with their inaugural ride. He continues to support the mission as a board member, outreach ambassador, and enthusiastic cyclist. When not supporting Trips for Kids, Andrew loves riding around with his three young and rambunctious children.

 Sarah Klein, Board Chair                                                             Executive Director, Epilepsy Foundation of Colorado

 Sarah is a long-time cycling enthusiast and has lived cycling both personally and professionally for years.  She loves everything it represents- an active lifestyle, physical and emotional health and fitness, respect for the environment, and a slower, more intentional pace of life – along with the potential to make the world a better place in pretty much every way imaginable.  She’s  great at making connections and loves bringing individuals and organizations together for mutual benefit.  She also really likes pink.



Elysha Lopez, Attorney 
Department of Housing and Urban Development

Elysha moved from Virginia to Colorado for school and decided to stay for the lifestyle.  She is an attorney at the Department of Housing and Urban Development and is passionate about helping to build healthy homes, lifestyles, and communities.  Elysha spends her free time traveling, trail running, and attempting to fly-fish.

Peter Robinson, Secretary
Legal Counsel, Suncor Energy

Peter is from Wyoming, where he grew up road and mountain bike racing and working as a mechanic in local bike shops. After college, he served in AmeriCorps where he ran a bicycle recycling program for underserved youth. He and his wife moved to Colorado in 2007, where he spends as much of his free time as possible cycling or otherwise enjoying the Colorado mountains with his wife, daughter and two dogs. Peter is a corporate attorney with Suncor Energy
