The Lucky Bikes Re-Cyclery, a growing mission driven, social purpose business, retail venture that provides youth with training and employment opportunities by refurbishing and selling used bicycles, as well as offering accessories & parts and repair services. The Lucky Bikes Re-Cyclery is built around the concepts of youth development and environmental stewardship.
As a new shop in town our programs are growing. Currently, Lucky Bikes Re-Cyclery hosts two programs, our Earn a Bike Program and Youth at Work Program. The Earn a Bike Program is a custom tailored program spanning 6-12 sessions and provides youth participants opportunities to learn fundamental bike maintenance skills, while earning the opportunity to keep their bicycles. The Youth at Work Program trains youth for positions as bike mechanics and sales people within the shop and build skills in basic business concepts and computer training, and provide a safe alternative that is a positive influence on their development.
We are eager to offer additional programs and will begin offering educational adult classes and workshops beginning in the fall, so stay tuned!
